Description

Tanka Torani is a traditional drink from the state of Odisha in Eastern India.

To make Tanka Torani, rice is soaked in water for a few hours or overnight. Then, the soaked rice is ground into a coarse paste. This paste is mixed with water, along with yogurt or buttermilk, and sometimes flavored with ingredients like ginger, green chilies, curry leaves, cumin seeds, and salt.

The mixture is then churned or whisked well to combine all the ingredients thoroughly. Some variations may include adding grated coconut or mint leaves for additional flavor.
